The Schola Cantorum is Lewisham's proper liturgical choir, whose duty it is to sing the Mass and the Divine Office, primarily on Sundays and First Class Feasts. It consists of laymen under the direction of Mr Anthony Ellsmore. The Schola sings in the stalls and are vested in cassock and surplice.
The following recording was made of the Schola Cantorum singing the ancient Latin antiphon, Ubi Caritas, during Offertory at an October Sunday Missa Cantata. Members of the choir created a four-part harmony for the response. Ubi Caritas [MP3]
