Maternal Heart Ladies Society was formed in summer of 2007 with the aim of fundraising for the needs of the community, especially in improving the church itself.
St Joseph's Dinner
The first major fundraising event was the St Joseph's Dinner, on March 4, in the St Thomas Hall. The committee raised over $2000 for the purchase of microphones and speakers for homilies.
The dinner was most successful as a community event as well. A delightful evening and meal was enjoyed by all - decorated chairs and tables, delicious home-cooked food, most gracious attendants of children all dressed in uniforms, pleasantly MCeed by John Gresser, a raffle for the picture of St Joseph, wonderful company, and most precious of all: a lovely talk about St Joseph himself, by Fr Wong.
