Secret: Make perfect the tribute we offer, as a sacrament for the vitality of Thy people, so that ministers, having been increased, in the circling of Thine altar, may bring together prayers and sacrifices to Thee.

Post-Communion: Having been filled with the heavenly mysteries, we beseech Thee, Almighty God, that Thou wouldst deign to increase Thy ministers in both number and sanctifying charity.

  • AUGUST - THE MONTH OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

This month is the time to make a Solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to honour Our Lady's Glorious Assumption.

This month the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is on Monday, August 22. You will be invited to make your act of consecration after the sermon. And this opportunity will also be given on the preceding Sunday.

You may also make your solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at home:

    A Solemn Act of Consecration
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfil the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to thee, all the people of our country and all the world.

Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as thou wish to accomplish thy designs in the world.

O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, our King.

Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism: kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.

We come with confidence to thee, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed thine own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes thy shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with thy rule, triumph in every heart and home. Amen.

    FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION

Monday, August 15, Solemn Mass 7pm

It is time for everyone to plan the pruning of the Lavendar and Rosemary plants they planted from the Feast last year. The prunings will decorate the statue of Our Lady.

    PLEASE PRAY FOR FATHER GRESSER

Our chaplain, Fr Gresser FSSP, had a very serious accident on Saturday, the 18th of September. A gas heater blew up while he was lighting it and burnt over 35% of his body. His left arm, right shoulder, chest and face suffered burns of various degrees. He also suffered fire inhalation injuries.

After being placed on the critical list, he made a remarkable recovery, that after six days he can now walk and talk a little.

Fr Gresser needs our prayers, as do his family. Fr Wong and the other FSSP priests in Sydney, and all those parishioners who are closely associated with the administration of the chaplaincy also need your prayers.

Our Lady Mary, the Blessed Virgin Mother of the Church, pray for him.

    St Lawrence, pray for him.

[For pastoral emergencies please contact Fr Duncan Wong or one of our priests at Girraween. Fr Aidan Wee will assist Fr Wong. Fr Wong can no longer accept Mass stipends for next three months.]

Father Gresser is grateful for all your prayers and is praying for all of you. Please keep up the prayers.
